ATHLETICS
Phil Healy was born in Cork in 1994. Growing up as a child in west cork, she tried out so many different sports, including soccer, football, Camogie, basketball, irish dancing and athletics. She really enjoyed each of the sports , making friends and having fun along the way. It wasn’t until Phil was 17 years old that she fully focused on athletics, following in the footsteps of her older sister Joan. Training hard and enjoying the sport Phil began to realize her potential in the sport at 18. Fast forward 9years, Phil became the first irish female to compete in 3 track events at the Olympic Games, making the final with the mixed 4x400 team. She has held the Irish records for the 100,200 both indoor and outdoor, as well as coming 4th at European indoors over 400m.
